The Vision for Rocking the Boroughs

My vision for Rocking the Boroughs is like a beautiful set of nesting dolls.  Like these dolls, Rocking the Boroughs also has many layers.  You can appreciate and enjoy any one layer... or you can keep digging deeper.

The first layer, the outer shell, is what you see when you first come to visit us.  We're a bunch of people singing, dancing, having a ball!  The energy is infectious, and you'll probably find yourself dancing right with us.

The next layer is what we are, and what we have set out to be -- a show choir of senior citizens.  I believe we are living in the Golden Age of humanity, with ever-increasing lifespans and expanding possibilities.  Today's senior citizens can do so much more, and have so much more to give.  I want Rocking the Boroughs to manifest this  reality by showing what engaged, active, fun-loving senior lives can be today.

The next layer is the community we are building.  I believe that a person's  community, their social network, sets the baseline of their happiness. Rocking the Boroughs brings people together into a community of warmth and music, and creates a space where they can sing and dance and bond.

And finally, in the inner core, there is our human potential itself.  Rocking the Boroughs will show you, and us, the richness of what is possible for all human beings.
